The Formula For World Class Treatments…

1. Initial Consultation and Assessment

  • Veterinary Referral: Before we start treating your pet, we will need to speak to your vet and obtain a referral form in accordance with The Veterinary Surgeon’s Act 1966, and 2015 Exemptions Order. Alternatively, you can contact your vet to get referral as the pet’s owner.
  • Physiotherapist Visit: Our expert physiotherapist visits your home or yard to perform an initial assessment and treatment. She will review the pet’s medical history, observe the pet’s movements, and conduct some physical exams.
  • Goal Setting: The physiotherapist will discuss treatment goals with you for your pet, such as pain reduction, improved mobility, or enhanced muscle strength.

2. Development of a Treatment Plan

  • Customized Plan: Based on the assessment, we will develop a tailored treatment plan. This plan may include various therapies and exercises specific to your pet’s needs.

3. Implementation of the Treatment Plan

  • Manual therapy:  Most of your pet’s treatment will include the use of manual therapies such as sports massage, myofascial release and joint manipulations. This may also include the use of the Fascial Edge Tool for deeper treatment.
  • ElectrotherapyWhen appropriate, we may use a TENS machine, a neuro-muscular stimulator (NMES or e-stim), or a therapeutic laser during your pet’s treatment.
  • Homework: For continued success, our star therapist may leave you with an exercise regime, or with some stretches or functional movements to do at home.

4. Long-term Management

  • Maintenance Exercises: Even after the initial treatment phase, pets might need ongoing exercises to maintain their progress and prevent regression.
  • Continued Support: We are always here for our clients! Our therapist will check in with you on follow-up vists, and make sure both you and your pet are happy.
